These Terms & Conditions apply to the use of our website and to all vehicle reservations and purchases made with Platinum Wave Automotive Limited (“we”, “us”, “our”).
By using our website or reserving/purchasing a vehicle from us, you agree to be bound by these Terms.
- ABOUT US
1.1 We sell campervans and Kombi vans throughout the United Kingdom.
1.2 We are authorised and regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA No. 806815) as a credit
broker, not a lender.
- VEHICLE CATEGORIES
2.1 We sell:
a) Brand new vehicles where you will be the first registered keeper
b) New vehicles that have been pre-registered to us
c) Used vehicles
2.2 The status of each vehicle will be clearly stated in the individual vehicle advertisement.
- VEHICLE PRICING & VAT
3.1 Campervans
3.1.1 Prices displayed for campervans are VAT inclusive.
3.1.2 Each vehicle advert will clearly state whether the vehicle is:
a) VAT Qualifying (VAT reclaimable where applicable), or
b) Sold under the Margin Scheme (VAT not reclaimable).
3.2 Kombi Vans
3.2.1 Prices displayed for Kombi vans are shown as Net + VAT unless otherwise stated.
3.2.2 Each vehicle advert will confirm whether the vehicle is:
a) VAT Qualifying, or
b) Margin Scheme.
3.3 Pricing Accuracy
3.3.1 We make every effort to ensure that pricing, descriptions and specifications are accurate.
3.3.2 We reserve the right to correct errors prior to a binding contract being formed.
- £99 VEHICLE RESERVATION
4.1 Reservation Process
4.1.1 A vehicle may be reserved for 24 hours upon payment of £99.
4.1.2 Online reservations must be made by debit or credit card.
4.1.3 Telephone reservations may be made by:
a) Debit or credit card, or
b) Bank transfer.
4.2 Nature of Reservation
4.2.1 The vehicle will be held exclusively for 24 hours from confirmation of payment.
4.2.2 The reservation:
a) Is not a contract of sale
b) Does not transfer ownership
c) Does not guarantee finance approval
d) Does not guarantee part exchange acceptance
4.2.3 A binding contract is formed only when:
a) An order form is signed (electronically or in person), and
b) We confirm acceptance of the order.
4.3 Refunds
4.3.1 The £99 reservation fee is fully refundable within the 24-hour reservation period.
4.3.2 After 24 hours, the fee may become non-refundable at our discretion.
4.3.3 We reserve the right to refuse repeated or speculative reservations.
- PAYMENT
5.1 Accepted payment methods include:
a) Bank transfer
b) Debit card
c) Finance (subject to approval)
d) Part exchange
5.2 Full cleared funds must be received before a vehicle is released.
- ROAD TAX (VEHICLE EXCISE DUTY)
6.1 A vehicle must be taxed in the registered keeper’s name before it leaves our premises.
6.2 Customers are responsible for arranging and paying for road tax unless explicitly stated otherwise.
6.3 We can assist with the taxation process if required.
6.4 For brand new vehicles where you are the first registered keeper, first registration and initial road tax may be included within the price where expressly stated.
6.5 For all other vehicles, road tax is an additional cost payable by the customer.
6.6 No vehicle will be released without valid road tax in place.
- INSURANCE
7.1 You must arrange valid motor insurance prior to collection or delivery.
7.2 We may introduce you to specialist insurers upon request.
7.3 We do not provide insurance advice.
- FINANCE
8.1 Our Role
8.1.1 We are authorised and regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority as a credit broker.
8.1.2 We are not a lender.
8.2 Finance Applications
8.2.1 You may apply for finance through one of our selected third-party lenders.
8.2.2 Finance is:
a) Subject to status
b) Subject to a credit check
c) Subject to underwriting by the lender
8.2.3 Any delay in signing your finance agreement may delay vehicle collection or delivery.
8.2.4 If finance is declined, we reserve the right to withdraw the offer for sale.
8.3 Finance Products
8.3.1 Hire Purchase (HP) is available on campervans and Kombi vans.
8.3.2 Personal Contract Purchase (PCP) is available on Kombi vans only.
8.4 Lender Panel
8.4.1 We work with a selected panel of lenders.
8.4.2 There may be alternative products available elsewhere in the market.
8.5 Commission
8.5.1 We do not charge customers a fee for acting as a credit broker.
8.5.2 We may receive a commission from lenders.
8.5.3 The commission amount may vary depending on lender and product.
8.5.4 Details are available upon request.
8.6 APR
8.6.1 Finance rates are set by lenders.
8.6.2 Any APR shown is representative.
8.6.3 The actual APR offered may differ based on individual circumstances.
8.7 Regulatory Disclosure
8.7.1 Further details of our regulatory status and services are set out in our Initial Disclosure Document (IDD), available on our website.
- PART EXCHANGE
9.1 Valuation
9.1.1 All part exchange valuations are:
a) Subject to accurate description
b) Subject to physical inspection
c) Subject to confirmation of outstanding finance
9.1.2 We reserve the right to amend a valuation if the condition differs from that described.
9.2 Equity
9.2.1 Equity is calculated as:
Agreed valuation
MINUS
Outstanding finance settlement
9.2.2 If the result is positive equity, it may be used toward the purchase of your new vehicle.
9.2.3 If the result is negative equity, you may be required to make an additional payment to cover the shortfall.
9.3 Settlement of Outstanding Finance
9.3.1 Where a part exchange vehicle is subject to outstanding finance, we will settle the agreed settlement amount directly with your lender once you have fully paid for your purchase vehicle.
9.3.2 You must provide a valid and up-to-date settlement letter showing:
a) Lender name
b) Settlement figure
c) Settlement expiry date
d) Bank name
e) Sort code
f) Account number
g) Reference details required by the lender
9.3.3 We are not responsible for penalties, additional interest, or shortfalls arising from inaccurate or expired settlement figures.
- CONSUMER RIGHTS
10.1 Nothing in these Terms affects your statutory rights.
10.2 Under the Consumer Rights Act 2015:
a) Vehicles must be of satisfactory quality
b) Fit for purpose
c) As described
10.3 You have a short-term right to reject within 30 days if the vehicle is faulty.
10.4 After 30 days, we are entitled to one opportunity to repair or replace before a refund may be due.
10.5 These rights apply to retail consumer sales only.
- DISTANCE SELLING & CANCELLATION
11.1 Application
11.1.1 This section applies where a vehicle is purchased entirely at distance without visiting our premises.
11.2 Cancellation Period
11.2.1 You may cancel within 14 days of delivery.
11.2.2 Cancellation must be notified to us in writing.
11.3 Fault-Based Cancellation
11.3.1 If cancelling due to a fault, you must clearly state the nature of the fault in writing.
11.3.2 We will be given reasonable opportunity to inspect and rectify the issue.
11.3.3 If the issue cannot be resolved in accordance with your statutory rights, we will honour your right to cancel.
11.4 Condition on Return
11.4.1 The vehicle must be returned in substantially the same condition as supplied.
11.4.2 We may make reasonable deductions for excessive use beyond reasonable inspection.
11.4.3 Return costs may be your responsibility unless cancellation arises from confirmed fault.
- OWNERSHIP & RISK
12.1 Ownership transfers once:
a) Full cleared funds have been received, and
b) The vehicle has been collected or delivered.
12.2 Risk transfers at the point of collection or delivery.

13.3 Images may be representative only.

13.5 We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from website use.

- LIMITATION OF LIABILITY
16.1 Nothing in these Terms limits liability for:
a) Death or personal injury caused by negligence
b) Fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation
c) Any liability which cannot legally be excluded
16.2 Otherwise, liability is limited to the purchase price of the vehicle.
- GOVERNING LAW
17.1 These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
17.2 Disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
CAMPER / KOMBI CONVERSION PLUS MECHANICAL WARRANTY TERMS AND CONDITIONS
1. DEFINITIONS
1.1 “Company” refers to Platinum Wave Automotive Limited, with its registered office at Fastlane Building, Dunchurch Highway, Allesley, Coventry, CV5 9QA.
1.2 “Customer” refers to the purchaser of the camper van covered by this warranty.
1.3 “Vehicle” refers to the camper van sold by the Company to the Customer and covered under this warranty.
1.4 “Warranty” refers to the Camper / Kombi Conversion plus Mechanical Warranty provided by the Company under these terms and conditions.
1.5 “Authorised Repairer” refers to a repair facility approved by the Company to carry out repairs under this Warranty.
2. WARRANTY COVERAGE
2.1 This Warranty covers defects in materials and workmanship for both the mechanical components and camper/kombi conversion elements of the Vehicle as specified in these terms.
2.2 The Warranty period varies depending on the type of vehicle purchased and the type of cover (habitation or mechanical). See Schedule 1 for full details.
2.3 The Warranty applies only to Vehicles sold directly by the Company and is non-transferable.
2.4 The Warranty covers the cost of parts and labour required for the repair or replacement of covered components that fail due to manufacturing defects.
2.5 The Warranty provided may be covered by either the manufacturer, a third-party warranty company, or the Company itself. The specific coverage provider is determined based on the nature of the fault.
3. EXCLUSIONS
3.1 The Warranty does not cover:
a) General wear and tear, routine servicing, or maintenance items such as tyres, brake pads, and wiper blades.
b) Damage caused by misuse, neglect, accident, or unauthorised modifications.
c) Repairs carried out by unauthorised repairers.
d) Electrical faults due to aftermarket installations not performed by the Company.
e) Damage resulting from failure to follow the manufacturer’s servicing schedule.
f) Any issues arising from improper use of the camper/kombi conversion, including but not limited to incorrect installation of appliances or fixtures.
g) Damage to high-impact vehicle body parts, including but not limited to front & rear bumpers, front splitters, fenders, painted calipers, and other exterior panels, resulting from collisions, accidents, or deliberate impact.
h) Damage to low ground clearance vehicle body parts, including but not limited to side bars and other components situated close to the ground.
i) Gradual deterioration of performance of a component in line with the age and mileage of the Vehicle will be classed as “wear and tear” and excluded from the maintenance contract unless additional wear & tear cover has been purchased.
j) All bodywork and trim, seat belts (any part), glass (including heated screens and door mirrors), sunroof panels, fuel tank, wheels and tyres. Air bags or disposal of air bags.
k) External fluid leaks, odours, external oil leaks and seals.
l) Consumable items such as, but not exclusively limited to light bulbs, drive belts, wiper blades, brake linings, brake discs, cylinders, cables, bushes, glow plugs, all pipes, all hoses, keys and key fobs.
m) Blocked, porous or seized components.
n) Nuts, bolts and Mounts and Brackets
o) Software, firmware or “flash” updates for any component.
p) Seals & gaskets of any description, save where specifically covered, including but not limited to sealing compounds, silicone sealant and liquid gaskets.
q) Clearing or cleaning of fuel lines or components, contamination of fuel system either by incorrect fuelling or water ingress.
r) Clutch release bearing, concentric slave cylinders, centre plate and friction material.
s) Exhaust system and catalytic converters (unless an additional fee has been paid) including but not limited to manifolds, mufflers, brackets, exhaust valve actuators and mountings. Including de-pollution or diesel particulate filters and systems and EGR Systems.
t) Carbonised, pitted, corroded, burnt or sticking components.
u) Water ingress and damage caused to any component by water ingress.
v) Paint – the painting of parts replaced under the maintenance contract will not be covered.
w) The cost of any servicing or service items.
4. CUSTOMER OBLIGATIONS
4.1 The Customer must adhere to the recommended service schedule as outlined in the Vehicle handbook.
4.2 The Customer must report any Warranty claims to the Company as soon as reasonably practicable.
4.3 The Customer is responsible for ensuring that only authorised and approved parts are used in repairs and maintenance of the Vehicle.
4.4 The Customer must provide proof of servicing when making a Warranty claim.
4.5 The Customer is responsible for having an annual habitation check. Failure to have this done will result in the habitation warranty being void.
5. WARRANTY CLAIMS PROCESS
5.1 In the event of a defect or failure, the Customer must:
a) Contact the Company directly, who will advise of or arrange the next steps.
b) Provide all relevant details, including the Vehicle identification number, purchase date, and service history.
c) Allow the Company or its designated repairers reasonable time to inspect and repair the Vehicle.
5.2 No work can be done by third parties without prior approval of the Company.
5.3 The Company reserves the right to inspect any Vehicle subject to a Warranty claim before authorising repairs.
5.4 Repairs must be carried out by an Authorised Repairer unless expressly authorised by the Company in writing.
6. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY
6.1 The Company shall not be liable for any incidental or consequential damages resulting from any defect covered by this Warranty.
6.2 The total liability of the Company under this Warranty shall not exceed the original purchase price of the Vehicle.
6.3 Nothing in these terms and conditions shall limit the Company’s liability for death or personal injury caused by its negligence.
7. GENERAL TERMS
7.1 This Warranty does not affect the statutory rights of the Customer under applicable consumer protection laws.
7.2 The Company reserves the right to amend these terms and conditions at any time, provided that such amendments do not affect existing Warranty coverage.
7.3 Any disputes arising under these terms and conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales.
