Yes, if you already own a T6.1 van then we can convert this into a campervan in as little as 3 weeks. We specialise in converting your base van into a fully equipped and customised camper that suits your lifestyle.

We also offer a range of new and used T6 and T6.1 campers that are ready for you to drive away today.

The time it takes us to build your campervan will depend on the customisation and added extras you choose. You can’t rush greatness which is why our custom builds can take up to 3 weeks. But don’t worry we’ll keep you updated every step of the way through our IntelliPat customer portal.

To get your T6.1 campervan conversion started we’ll need to take a deposit of £99. This will come off the final price of your van at the end.  Contact our team today to pay your deposit.

Produced from 2019 onwards, the T6.1 VW transporter is the facelifted version of the T6 campervan made in 2016-2019. The T6.1 features a deeper front grille and modern infotainment system amongst other upgrades. Whichever you choose, they’re both made for adventuring and ideal bases for conversions.

Opting for a T6 or a T6.1 will depend on what you want from your camper as well as your budget. Older models may be more budget-friendly depending on the final conversion, however the T6.1 does have improved specifications.     My partner and I recently won a competition run by PW to celebrate the move to their new head quarters. The weekend just passed, we went to collect our luxury campervan and headed to Wales for an adventure. We were greeted by Bart and his team on arrival. They were ever so friendly and helpful, explained what to do and in true ‘customer service’ fashion, nothing was too much trouble.

    The camper itself was built to a very high standard, great features included and it’s fair to say, my partner who, up until this point has been an ‘anti-camper van’ kinda person. That all changed this weekend and I’m pleased to say that thanks for the amazing experience and quality of the build we are actively discussing getting our own one.

    We recently purchased a camper from Platinum Wave and found the whole experience to be first class. Upon arriving I was immediately greeted in the car park by Elizabeth and then Bart. They answered all my questions as I am completely new to camper vans and had many. And they new exactly when to leave me alone to wander in and out of all their vans in stock on the forecourt and in the show room.

    The van I chose ended up being a custom build, and it was ready on the day they promised.

    I would highly recommend using PW if you are getting a camper.

    We bought our campervan from platinum wave in 2019 and have really loved it. They really looked after us throughout the conversion process. Unfortunately my wife suffered a shattered femur in 2022 and found maneuvering in the van difficult so we sadly decided to sell. Returned to platinum wave and they offered a brokerage deal. Van was sold quickly for a good price and their fee was reasonable. There professionalism was obvious from the start and we are so pleased with the service we received. Would not hesitate to recommend them, Both for buying and selling a camper van.

    Wow what can we say from start to finish they have been absolutely amazing. Their customer service was outstanding especially from Alan and Rea who have gone above and beyond.     Can’t fault the service from start to finish. Alan, Rea, Bart & the team have gone above & beyond to make my dream camper. I didn’t want the hook up point on the side of the van & requested that it was fitted under the rear light cluster. They were more than happy to accommodate. Would definitely recommend Platinum Wave if you’re in the market for a luxury camper.
